GIS data development
Appraisal Districts, Parcel, Planning and Community
development
A.I.M.S. has performed or assisted in the
development of several parcel based GIS systems. Parcel GIS data sets for the cities of Round Rock and
Georgetown included development of zoning, land use, and various fields of
information that allowed linking to the County Appraisal District databases.
These enterprise-wide GIS systems allow the data to be shared by
Planning, Public works, Fire, Police, Emergency Medical services and various
other departments. More basic systems with parcels and features such as roads,
rivers etc are being developed in Fayette, Gray, Hamilton, Lampasas, Titus, and
Wheeler counties. Recently, Coryell County expanded the work that A.I.M.S.
is to perform to include capturing of parcel boundaries.
Voter Registration, Precinct Realignment and Redistricting
Various
Voter Registration departments have contracted A.I.M.S. to
develop their GIS systems. The map base of roads with very accurate ranges
allows for geo-coded of their voters. A.I.M.S.
has also performed the realignment of precincts boundaries for several counties
and developed utilities for exporting the base map feature (road) changes to be
imported by their mainframe systems.
